Fourteen Golf
At JPC's "Meet the Players" event Fourteen Golf came out to supply clubs for the amateurs putting contest, then surprised guests by giving away 150 MT28-V4 sand wedges. The wedges were part of the line Fourteen created for its PGA customers.
Fourteen Golf established itself in the U.S. market about four years ago when David Duval and Ernie Els were featured using the imported driving irons. An interesting word-of-mouth buzz had propagated the "those Japanese clubs" through die-hard U.S. golfing chatrooms. In 2005 the twenty-some year old firm created an overseas headquarters in California to feed the growing U.S. market. As one 2006 October chatter put it: "Fourteen stuff is gold!"
Already a favorite of PGA players in the States, the Fourteen Golf was eager to rev some engines with its new 2009 Tokyo showcases, the JC909 Driver, MT28 J-Spec II Wedge, V4 Forged Wedge and UT-306 Hybrid. The UT-306 hybrid was designed working with the players, especially for this year's tour.
Fourteen continues to be a popular choice of PGA pros, maintaining its grassroots player-to-player buzz. The company's reputation for quality control and technology driven designs continue to fuel the production team. This year's clubs were the result of Fourteen Golf's enthusiasm and dedication to "Letting the club do its job".

Guests leaving the JPC event had been faced with a hard choice: A wedge or a goodie bag? JPC followed up to see how the Wedgers felt about their decision. Surprisingly the golf aficianados were happy to have forfeited their gift bags for the sleek wedge. Everyone was quick to put it to good use in the DC summer.
