2009 Michelob ULTRA Open
The stars of the LPGA Tour return to Kingsmill Resort & Spa for the 2009 Michelob ULTRA Open, May 4-10. The Tour showcases a mix of talent from around the world.
For the 144 players who will play, there is more at stake this week than the $330,000 winner's check. With a $2.2 million purse, the Michelob ULTRA Open at Kingsmill Resort & Spa is one of the season's 10 winner events in the LPGA Playoffs 2009. Sunday's champion will become the third automatic qualifier for the ADT Championship.
Each of the tournament's past champions will also be in the field, hoping to be the first to claim the trophy for the second time: Grace Park (2003), anticipated LPGA Tour and World Golf Halls of Famer Se Ri Pak (2004), Cristie Kerr (2005) and Karrie Webb.
The week's scheduled activities bring excitement beyond world-class professional golf to include two Pro-Ams, a fashion show, junior clinic, live entertainment and the Family Fun Zone.
