GOLF
PGA Shots worth a million
In order to inspire appreciation for the PGA Tour's most stunning views, as well as a little extra competition, Kodak is offering a $1,000,000 reward for the winner of its year-long challenge. Kodak and the PGA have selected 24 holes from the 2009 Tour which were especially eye-catching or provided candid moments in the past. PGA players tally up the scores from 18 Kodak holes; the player with the lowest score gets the million. Since players drop out of the Tour at any point, they can stop at 18, or stay in and play through, tallying up their best of the 24. The PGA hopes the extra motivation will carry over to golf fans everywhere, boosting excitement as they root for their favorite players. Kodak and the PGA will both host Challenge hole shots and interactive material on their websites.

EDUCATION
Education for the future at the School of Tomorrow
A new secondary school opening in Rockville attempts to bridge the gap between the traditional methods of education that are currently in place with the ever-present changes in the college and working world of the 21st century. "School for Tomorrow" prepares students to thrive and succeed in our current society.
The institution focuses on the big picture, not only equipping them with textbook knowledge, but also educating them in the arts, physical and mental health, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution. Among the aspects that set this school apart from the norm are a focus on the individual, an interdisciplinary approach to learning, adjustments to the curriculum made to reflect changes in a dynamic society, and the inclusion and encouragement of internships, community service, and fieldtrips into the academic schedule.
"School for Tomorrow" opens in September 2009 at 4511 Bestor Drive, Rockville, MD.
