The National Cherry Blossom Festival bigger than ever this year

A commemoration of the 1912 gift of 3000 cherry trees from Tokyo to Washington, the National Cherry Blossom Festival has been an annual celebration of a close relationship between the two cultures of Japan and the U.S., and there has never been more to see or do than this year. Kicking off the two-week long festivities is “Family Day” on March 28. On April 4, the Museum will present an exciting day of environmentally friendly children’s programming during Kids’ River Clean-Up Day at the Accokeek Colonial Farm, featuring an interactive puppet show and river clean-up. Established in 1995, Hama Sushi has since been a favorite among residents and visitors alike in the Dulles area.
