Baked Brie

Ingredients: (See pictures of ingredients.)

  • 1 Medium-sized Brie Wheel (Whole, Not cut in Half) I personally like the ones they sell at Costco.
  • 1 Onion Jam or Cranberry Sauce
  • 1 Can of Pillsbury Crescent Roll
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 1 teaspoon of water

Directions
  1. Preheat Oven to 375 degrees
  2. Open a can of Pillsbury Crescent Roll and carefully unfold the dough on a piece of parchment paper.
  3. Spilt dough into two even squares. Working with one square, pinch the perforated seams together with your finger. Gently flip it over and smooth out the seams. (Picture 1 and Picture 2)
  4. Unwrap the brie wheel and place it on top of the smoothed dough. (Picture 3)
  5. Repeat step 3.
  6. Take your favorite jam (my personal favorite is the onion jam from Balducci’s) and put about a ¼ cup of the jam on top of the brie. (Picture 4)
  7. Carefully place the second piece of dough on top of the brie and jam. (Picture 5)
  8. Using your fingers, carefully pinch the seams together to form a smooth and uniform cover. (Picture 6)
  9. Beat the yolk with a teaspoon of water and brush the dough with the mixture. (Picture 7 and 8)
  10. Gently lift the brie by the parchment paper and place it on a baking sheet. Place it into your heated oven and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. CAREFULLY take your baking sheet out of the oven. The parchment paper has a tendency to slide, so be careful that the cheese doesn’t slide off the baking sheet.
  12. DO NOT LIFT the cheese off the baking sheet. Cool baked cheese on the baking sheet for 20 minutes. (Picture 9)
  13. Gently lift the baked brie after 20 minutes and place it on your serving platter with crackers. Enjoy.
